Resumo em Inglês: Through this research, it was seeked to understand how two centenary people experienced the passage of time and spirituality, as well as the way they deal with the perspective of finiteness. The study was based on the conceptions of temporality given by phenomenology, more particularly on Merleau-Ponty (1999) and Minkowski (1973). It is about a qualitative research of phenomenology inspiration, as a case-study, done through informal and semi-structured clinical interviews. From these interviews, each contributor could tell its life experiences, memories and most meaningful moments freely. The research was done with two female senior citizens, one of them was 101 and the other 106 years old, who were interviewed individually in their own houses. The interviews were recorded and transcribed. About the material produced, there was a phenomenology reading and following synthesis, checking if there was appropriate perception of their life experiences, as recommended by Amatuzzi (2003), also trying to identify the main divergences and convergences about the two people interviewed. Through this reading, it was observed that the centenary citizens do not see the passage of time only by bias of chronology, but especially by the meaning of what was lived and was meaningful. There is, for both of them, a great appreciation of religiousness, family and memories along their respective stories, since both of them lived with people from another generations, to whom they like to tell things that have happened in their lives. It was also noticed that faith and spirituality are shown as propelling factors of sense, helping them to stand the loss of so many beloved people that have died and to deal with the perspective of their own finiteness peacefully. It is concluded that the results of this research may offer contributions for understanding the experience of living temporality on centenary people and how the spirituality is important face a natural situation of finiteness of the being.
