Resumo: | The objective of this work was to compare the agronomic aspects and production costs of two Italian tomato production systems cv BS II 0011 staked in a greenhouse, one in the Organic Production System (SMO) and one under the Conventional Management System (SMC) in winter cultivation in the Municipality Guaiçara / SP. The SMC and SMO of the different crops were characterized, addressing the agronomic and economic aspects, (soil preparation, planting, management, cultural treatments, pest control, diseases, spontaneous plants, productivity and height, and production costs). The agronomic variables analyzed were: plant height, weekly production and accumulated tomato production. The three variables showed significant results, according to the Tukey test, all favorable to SMC, in the same way as to the results of production costs and financial return. The survey of production costs showed similar values for both systems. Thus, to result in the same net profit, the sale value of organic tomatoes should increase proportionally to the reduction in production, that is, 50% higher. However, the experiment is in the first year of organic, indicating a tendency to reduce input costs, due to working in a balanced system, reducing production costs. |
