Resumo: The process of the lean production, for the which many organizations had passing last the twenty years, is being a object of researches since the changes in the universe of the work causes many and contradictories opinions about the forms of manage and organize the production and the workers. On this scene, this study had as objective to analyze the possible impacts of the lean production on the health of the workers, through the state of the art and a research with workers as the intention of characterize aspects of a real situation of work, in confrontation with literature. For this field, was interviewed managers and workers of a plant that recently adopted this model of production, in order to understand the perception, especially of the laborers, on the occurred modifications. We conclude that, the immediate results shows that after the introduction of the modifications had an improvement in the workers participation, resulting in a bigger satisfaction in the work, and that although evidenced an increase in the increase of the work, the greater part of the interviewed workers prefers the current management form. On the other hand, a more subjective analysis of the workers answerers reveals that a possible suffering, due to the intensification of the rhythm of work and the fear of the unemployment.
