Resumo: |
Environmental issues in the contemporary world have been discussed since the Declaration of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment, in Stockholm, Switzerland, 16th June 1972. During this Conference, topics that would guide for Environmental Education were discussed. Such topics were ratified in 1977, during the Intergovernmental Conference on Environmental Education in Tbilisi, Georgia. In Brazil, topics related to environmental education entwine those discussed in world conferences, but ¿ more notoriously ¿ as from 1998, with the National Curriculum Parameters ¿ Transversal Themes, upon which six main themes are approached and among these, environmental education. The parameters propose to integrate and compose interdisciplinary along with the topics of curriculum components, in such a way it can strengthen the conditions for social and environmental awareness. The Coordination Office for Environmental Education (CEE), established in 1996 in the town of Praia Grande, São Paulo, started its activities in the school year of 1997 as a Pioneer in the Atlantic Forest coast to have Environmental Education in its foundation. Therefore, this research paper investigates and analyzes the relations between the educational projects developed by the CEE, with the municipal public policies demands. The research was made by the means of document research, carried out on the Closed Files at the City Hall in Praia Grande, where it was possible to find excerpts from newspapers that promoted such projects, along with images and registry of all previous activities, as well as how these projects related to social demand. Among other authors, in order to analyze social environmental issues, this research counts with the theoretical support from: Coimbra (1985), (2002) e (2014); Leff (2009) and Sachs (2007). In order to discuss interdisciplinary and the concept of environmental education at schools, the following authors were studied: Carvalho (2008a) e (2008b); Morin (2000) e Pelicioni (2014). Philippi Jr. and Bruna (2014) and Ueno and Natal (2014) also provided information on the matter of environmental public policies as well as the concept of Environmental Management. The analysis was carried out through interviews with teachers and coordinators at the CEE, in order to collect substantial data concerning the operational issues of the CEE, and how its projects relate to the town¿s public policies. |
