Resumo: The large difference between the quality of life of human beings is a matter of great concern today. After the massive decolonization issues related to development gained prominence, especially within the United Nations. Therefore, it is proposed to examine how the UN is influenced by the theme, to the point of overwrite it as the focus of its activities, through in-depth study of the functioning of your system as well as their contributions to the construction of a right to development. To do so, made use of research explanatory nature, and, at first , sought to understand issues related to the assumption of concern for human beings for the first Universal International Organization already created, so that, in a second moment, it was definitely possible to achieve the goal of responding to an international organization that was born to safeguard future generations from the horrors of war, would give as much attention to the issue of development cooperation. The study demonstrated the great importance of the UN to the issue of development, especially in the construction of a right to development, and ultimately, it was concluded that the issue of development is now the main focus of the UN, to the extent that the mentioned subject is intrinsically related to the other two main foci of activity.
