Resumo: The return of Philosophy as a required discipline in High School, with the approval of Law 11.684/08, which has modified Basic Directives Law s article 36 of 1996, initiates a discussion not only about the concern with teaching contents and methodology, but also about the formation itself of professors that teach or will teach Philosophy. Way beyond the investment in early education, it is necessary to think about Continuing Education of those professors that, graduated in ""Philosophy Graduation"", did not have activity work field in schools of Basic Education for decades, considering since 1972 the discipline had been taken of academic resume. The research has studied ""Redefor"" Program, realized in Distance Learning, that has emerged in 2010 as a Continuing Education proposal, for Graduate Studies level and for several areas professors, among them Philosophy, that teach at public school system. Its objective was to understand the perception of Baixada Santista Philosophy teachers, that work at public school system, about Philosophy Continuing Education process of ¿Redefor¿ Program. The research theory base had the groundwork of Alves (2002), Gallo (2006), Ghedin (2008), Saviani (1996), Severino (2003) about philosophy; Gatti (2009), Libâneo (2004), Rios (2001) about formation of professors and, Pedrosa (2003), Vilarinho (2001) about Distance Learning, among others. This study was constituted by a qualitative approach, based on answers given by seventeen Philosophy teachers in an exploratory questionnaire, between three of them were chosen to be interviewed, only the ones who had participated and concluded Philosophy ¿Redefor¿ Program first edition, in august of 2011. The results indicate that different motivations and conceptions of continued graduation students have the ability to impact directly class development and evaluation, showing that previous knowledge of individuals needs is an important factor for creation and development of class objectives. Emphasized theory excess in prejudice of practical discussions, and also the difficulty to accomplish reading and other activities due to short available time to formation over the hours of work journey. About Distance Learning, it showed itself as a possibility of new way of apprenticeship and interaction and, although difficulties had not been found, the need of a greater number of attendance meetings has been revealed. At last, the participants affirmed a positive attitude about Philosophy Distance Learning, considering the fact of being a Continuing Education class.
