Resumo: This dissertation compares the work of federal deputies to the way they position themselves and interact on Twitter. The corpus of the research is formed by public data from parliamentarians who submitted proposals and published tweets in 2020. In a theoretical context, the integration of Brazilian democracy with new digital technologies is studied. Literature review and document analysis methods are used to address: politics, technology, internet and social media. These themes are contemplated based on their connection with the concept of the public sphere, as proposed by the philosopher Jürgen Habermas. From a technical perspective, this work represents the multidimensionality of parliamentary action based on data collection, analysis and visualization techniques, mostly developed and documented in the Python programming language. In this way, the level of consistency between recurring themes in the parliamentary sphere and in social media is highlighted, and the relationship between the networks of legislative proposals and those formed from tweets is pointed out.
