The research has as a general objective to understand the communication of the sensitive in the perspective of integrative and complementary practices in health (PICS) based on the application of Reiki to children, and has as research problem “in what ways can we understand the communication of the sensitive in the perspective of Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) based on the application of Reiki to children?”. The proposal focuses on the notions of Communication of the Sensitive from the perspective of Marcondes Filho, going through the theories of Maffesoli, Santaella and Sodré. The study covers the principles about PICS (ARAÚJO; CARDOSO; LUZ) and Childhood and Children (CORSARO; SARMENTO SIROTA). The methodology, with a qualitative focus, was carried out in person, respecting the care and protocols of the Covid-19 period. The methodological techniques followed three phases: Observation, Projective and Focus Group. The data analysis was defined a posteriori based on the elements coming from the field, originating four categories, constitutive elements of the communication of the sensitive: initial conversation, space, music and aroma and imposition of hands, being the codes established in this process. The research was applied to children who receive Reiki care at the Ambulatório de Terapia Natural e Complementar 1º de Maio (ATNC), belonging to the Divina Providência Health Network (RSDP). The results indicated that for children Reiki represents a space of protection that gives them the guarantee of security, of peace. The claimed that words like relaxing, harmony, peace, tranquility, comfort, good energy, happiness, joy, brought in the course of all the phases are connected to the way in which the practice of Reiki reverberated in them and are contained in the conceptions enunciated in the communication of the sensitive1. |
