Currently a significant portion of studies related to business competitiveness has devoted special attention to the relationship between different companies in a particular economic field. The supply chain management became an alternative for the development of enterprise competitiveness and it presents the means to structure this relationship. This study seeks to analyze the deployment process of supply chain management in the automotive industry of Rio Grande do Sul state through an analysis structure based on the main theoretical factors that influence the implementation of this management. Based on a comparison between the proposed analysis structure and the models used in supply chains studied, which have different levels of structure in the implementation of supply chain management, identify activities necessary for the actual deployment of supply chain management. Were identified among the key findings, there are 20 activities necessary for the actual implementation of supply management, the existence of a continuous process around that management and greater ease in performing this implementation jointly with the development of new products. Regarding the difficulties faced by chains, the high cost for implementation of management, supplier selection and the complexity of chain by itself, are the key difficulties. |
