The objective of this research is to analyze the different experiences and interpretations of two generations of the same family, mother, and daughter, lived by the interviewees, which cover the period from 1980 to 2021. To this end, I use theories about family and generations in Social Sciences. Still, Alfred Schütz's phenomenologically oriented sociology offers the necessary tools to investigate biographical experiences. As a method, the analysis of biographical narrative interviews is necessary, from the moment we take the biography of the interviewees to understand the problem. From the reconstruction of Márcia's case, it was possible to analyze how the biographer interprets her life story and how issues related mainly to economic and relational aspects during her couple relationships are raised. When narrating her childhood, issues related to money also appear, but the insecurity and feeling of abandonment on the part of her family of origin is prioritized, which the biographer does not reproduce in the relationship with her raised family. |
