This study search to show how the Brazilian telenovela has the power to influence the population's ways of dressing and consequently interfere with various social stereotypes, based on an analysis of a 9 PM telenovela on Rede Globo. The research analyzes online publications, in order to check how the products used in the costumes of the character played by the actress Giovanna Antonelli become fashion trends spread by the exhibition of the telenovela, as well as the costume represented a paradigm shift in the cultural construction of the stereotype of the commissioner of police profession in Brazil. It is intended to understand more of the cultural dimension of fashion, consumption and the costume designer – actress – viewer relationship as a diffusion of fashion trends, through authors such as Lipovetski (1989, 2009), Baudrillard (2008), Crane (2009), Leitte & Guerra (2002), among others Firstly, through an analysis of the publications of the Fashion Blog NFW (Novela Fashion Week), a specialist in telenovela trends, we intend to understand how digital media present and encourage the search for presented pieces on television, analyzed from the perspective of 'behavioral models' and the 'fascination of the stars' by Ferrés (1998), and later the repercussion caused by the stereotype, through online publications that mention the subject to understand how the media disseminated and proposed to contribute to changing the stereotyped view of the profession of commissioner of police, thus enabling the discussion of the relationship between fashion consumption, media and the Society of the spectacle. |
