The main objective of this research is to investigate the processes of interaction between the subject and his contacts through shared content on Facebook. This brings new ways of interpreting the social context and identities inside the digital culture universe. Is presented a hypothesis that in this process occur a subject s reconfiguration in the ways of interacting with his contacts and contents. That is, in the subject s online representation. Is considered that exist a recursion between the individuals and their social environment and the relation that is established with digital devices. The subject s relationship with technology is altered, and by consequence the subject himself is altered. Therefore, is questioned how the relationship between the subject and his contacts, and his online representation can reconfigure him. Initially is presented a bibliographic research to comprehend concepts of identity creation in a social context. In this chapter, communication technology influences and it s advances are related with cultural identity creation. There is a relation between the subject and society and that process influences the identity creation, the identifications and affinities. After that, it is specifically addressed, the presence of the subject in social networking. How the sharing of online content can set modifications in the ways he is interpreted. A better understanding of the relationship of the subject and the social network context is developed. After that a description of the Facebook is presented. The research object is collected data about 6 people for the period of one week, in order to better interpret the processes of the network representation. Subsequently held an interview with the same participants observed, to understand the very perception they have of their networking habits. Subsequently carried out an analysis of the responses, seeking to explain the reconfiguration of the subject through its web sharing. |
