Resumo: |
The aim of the present research was a study of how the blogs help the stages of knowledge management in an organization of professional education. Four corporate blogs built to link the various groups of educators in the organization and create, store, disseminate, use and measure organizational knowledge relating to their fields were analyzed. To achieve the goal we performed a multiple case study, first analyzing the blogs individually and after performing a comparative analysis. The documents of the organization considered relevant to the objectives of the present study were also analyzed. An in loco observation was held, and based on a semi structured script, the four areas coordinators and moderators as well as fifteen bloggers were interviewed. The blogs were created in the organization to exploit the collective intelligence of the workforce and make better use of opportunities for improvement of working practices. This research showed that corporate blogs contribute to the process of knowledge management when their moderators are articulated with key users to produce and share knowledge of their specific field. The blogs that focused on content in the daily practice of the user group had a significant contribution in the stages of knowledge management. Since blogs that have left the choice of free content to share, slipped its focus to general knowledge and struggled to attract and circulate knowledge among professionals. Those blogs identified with cohesive groups of users were most significant contribution in the stages of knowledge management. On the other hand, the blogs divided into several subgroups users had more difficulties in finding the active participation and engaging content. The moderators of blogs that have set targets of posting users were more effective and achieved greater recognition of the users of the moderators who favored the contribution purely spontaneous. The knowledge created, stored and disseminated by blogs provided recipients the possibility of direct use or adaptation to their realities differently, thus building, new knowledge in a continuous cycle. |
