Resumo: The following paper analyzed the paradox according to the Semantic Blocks Theory that was created, and still being studied, by Marion Carel and Oswald Ducrot. This theory is the current moment of the Language Argumentation Theory. We studied some parts of the papers written by Émile Benveniste that can be related in a proficient level, especially the idea of the empty sign, to the theory we are studying. We are studied Ferdinand de Saussure, because his studies are very important to the theories we used in this paper. We also thought about these authors, aiming the analyzes of paradoxes found in textual manifestations of the human language. Our analyzes are restricted to the language itself, leaving the non linguistic aspects out. The structure of this paper contains a theory chapter, including personal reflections, and on the following chapter we studied paradoxes, first according to the authors studied, and then using their ideas and concepts combined our reflections to propose a new way to analyze them.
