Resumo: |
This dissertation is concerned with two crucial problems in epistemology. The first is how to understand the nature of epistemic normativity. As in ethics, also in epistemology there is a division between what is meant by normative epistemology, linked to the various conceptions of how we form and revise our beliefs, and a metaepistemical dimension, which deals with the nature of epistemic norms in general. The second problem is related to the metaepistemical difficulties of finding a answer to the question, considered trivial by many: why, after all, should we follow epistemic norms? Or, simply, why should we be rational? |
