Resumo: |
The Second Vatican Ecumenical Council marked the history of the Church with its aggiornamento showing the pastoral dimension of the church. Without hurting tradition and doctrine, I proposed to the world an updated, accessible and systematic dialogue about the content present at the Depositum fidei. In this process, the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum was elaborated, offering the conciliar definition of the act of faith. The history of the writing of Dei Verbum and in particular the text that make up the number 5 where the act of faith is presented, indicate the path of assimilation of the conciliar objective presented by John XXIII. Understanding the act of faith as a fundamental option brings to mind its personal dimension that is not possible without the ecclesial aspect. Each element of the dogmatic affirmation present in Dei Verbum 5, leads to an in-depth understanding of the act of faith that establishes a modus vivendi specific to the follower of Jesus Christ. How to understand the act of faith as a fundamental option in the challenges of contemporary society, the impact of Dei Verbum 5 in the Catechism of the Catholic Church in the year of the faith of Paulo VI, Bento XVI and Francisco as well as CELAM documents pursue the relevance of the proposed theme: act of faith as a fundamental option. |
