Resumo: This research sought to investigate the formation of a route with Diabetes Mellitus, trying to decipher if: The practice of a life are able to transform the subject? A chronic disease is able to delineate the route of forming a subject? How does human development outside of formal learning spaces? Has founded on the theory of interdisciplinarity, in which the researcher (author and actress) sees itself as a subject in its performance of this life and work, narrating the spiral of time and knowledge that life emerges and leads to self-education. The methodological approach of this research has focused qualitative, seeking the stories of life and in reference to Gaston Pineau, the support that will give meaning to the narrative described. With contributions from authors such as: Ivani Fazenda, Paulo Freire, Edgar Morin and Hilton Japiassú, tried to unravel the importance of education in the curriculum of life. And in an attempt to make roads, offers a thoughtful look to the theory of interdisciplinarity in line with the methodology of life histories in order to elucidate the awareness of the subject, through its process of reflection and emancipation, can be a training mechanism to consider
