Resumo: The study object of this work is the musical and media mixes produced by Raul Seixas in his work, in dialog with the hybrid culture tradition. The research problem is to investigate Raul Seixas as a musical mix producer that acts between the media and the mediatic ambient and as a translator of the book culture to the popular language. The research was made in São Paulo city, São Paulo state, for being the where he lived in his carrier mature phases and for concentrate his biggest audience. The research period includes from beginning 2008 until beginning 2012. The research emphasis is on his carrier length period, from 1962 to 1989. The general objective is to analyze Raul Seixas discography production texts, as the lyrics and melodies were are proved his musical and mediatic mixes. The thesis justifies because there are no works of this kind that includes the mix and the cultural translate in Raul Seixas work. The hypothesis are: 1- the Raul Seixas work uses baroque procedure and 2-The verbal and body elements of Raul Seixas texts are traduced on media and mediatics ambient through mix procedure. Method : I have done a study of Raul Seixas medias action (on radio, television, shows, video clips, interviews and discs); for that are done research with his friends, parents and fans, and collected information in digital and printed media, like LPs, CDs, DVDs, photography, books, magazines and internet. The theoretic base counts with the culture Semiotic studies, mix and baroque theories developed by authors: Severo Sarduy with Baroque, Iuri Lotman with The Semiosphere I, Serge Gruzinsky with The Mestizo Thought, Paul Zumthor with The Letter and the Voice and Oral Poetry: An introduction, Alexis Nouss and François La Plantine with Mestizajes, Jesús-Martín Barbero with From the Media to Mediations, Eduardo Viveiros de Castro with The Inconstancy of the Indian Soul, Amálio Pinheiro with The Means is The Mestizaje and From this Side of Identity and Opposition and Octávio Paz with Convergences
