Os impactos da pandemia da COVID-19 sobre a educação brasileira: balanço tendencial das dissertações e teses

Resumo: The objective of this study was to examine the impacts caused by the Covid-19 pandemic on Brazilian school education, through a trend balance of doctoral theses and master's dissertations present in the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations CAPES in the period from 2020 to 2022, in order to verify the initiatives of the Brazilian university in the immediate period in which the pandemic spread across the country. Using the descriptor "Covid-19 AND education", 376 productions were initially selected, which, after deleting those that did not return specifically for analysis of the investigated relationship, resulting in a documentary corpus of 183 theses and dissertations. Having as theoretical support the contributions of cultural materialism by Williams (1980), we investigated the institutional authorship (graduate program, higher education institution and area of knowledge), specific focuses and procedures were investigated. The data found were organized in tables and graphs, which, through the use of the statistical treatment software Sphinx iQ2, showed the effort of public and private higher education institutions (especially the former) in the search for elements that could contribute to minimization of the effects of the pandemic on school education, through a diversity of perspectives, which made up a substantive set of analyzes and proposals for overcoming these effects
