The current paper aims to analyze the academic productions that targeted the occupation of the pedagogical coordinator, developed from 2013 to 2018. The gathering of the research data has been extracted from the abstracts of those academic productions, accessed through “Banco de Teses da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES)”, totaling the amount of 167 selected researches. It may be considered that tendency understanding is an organized catalog of data and pieces of information that focuses on the systematized scientific knowledge on the subject. These are the research questions: When is it investigated? Who investigates? What is being investigated? How is it investigated? and In what form is it investigated? From the questions of this research, 14 criteria were stipulated for the collection of information included in an information treatment program. It is hypothesized that most of the production is concentrated in the southeast region of Brazil and seeks to give "valuable guidance" to the pedagogical practices of the coordinators. Academic abstracts were the privileged sources of the paper, in the sense that they hold fundamental and essential aspects of the investigations. Such texts are apprehended in the way Williams (2011) understands, for the reason that, as a literary genre and cultural product, both the production process and the way in which they are conceived grow in importance. Accordingly, it has been observed that the researches were developed intended for understanding and supporting the practice of coordination, announcing the higher education institutions that welcomed them and reflecting the social contexts in which they were produced |
