Resumo: This research aims to study which the predisposition of the residents of Villa Therese neighborhood to act as potential actors in decreasing incidences of violence against women. The purpose of performing this research work is based on my professional experience in a social project linked the Independent Presbyterian Church of Villa Therese , located in the northern part of the city and state of São Paulo , in which I participate as a member . The project was written and created by me in 2008 , shortly after completing the course of Social Service at the Catholic University of São Paulo , in 2007 . This dissertation is intended to be taken as an object of study and research the possible potential of residents the Villa Therese neighborhood to decreasing incidences of violence against women . The rationale , therefore, is to sensitize the residents of Villa Therese neighborhood about the potential they have to decrease the incidence of domestic violence against women . We leave the decision of the Supreme Court which removed the victim of violence the responsibility of the complaint and allowed anyone to do it. What was in the field of private , so went to the field of the public . Can say now that in a fight between husband and wife is the law put the spoon. We use the methodology of analysis proposed by Spink (1999 ) where speech from listening , reading all the material dialogical construct maps that allowed us to visualize the multiplicity of meanings attributed to violence against women . The speeches circulated around the absence of the state , to discuss the unprepared professionals who receive complaints about the practice of violence against women also gave Discussions about violence on a day- to-day of ( the ) residents ( the ) and as such (as) locals ( as) will create strategies to deal with such violence in everyday life
