Resumo: This research aims to analyze the Social Assistance training programs in the Alto Tietê/SP region. The hypothesis is that training programs are a way of materializing the proposal of permanent education for SUAS workers. In this sense, the efforts of training, professional updating and continuing education advance in the intentionality of the impact of professional performance. This leads to several transformations in the socio-occupational field, in the daily work of the professional and, consequently, in the PNAS and in the life of SUAS users. The methodology used was the bibliographical and documentary research, which was necessary for the foundation of the historical, theoretical and philosophical reflections on the history of education in Brazil and the reflections on the theme of permanent education in Social Work. Thus, the bibliographical research was based on renowned authors in the area of concentration on the subject of permanent education to have a satisfactory theoretical foundation. To achieve the objectives listed, the chosen approach has qualitative research as a theoretical-methodological basis. Field research was carried out in the municipalities of the Alto Tietê / SP region, where all necessary information was collected, both in terms of quantitative project effectiveness and qualitative data. The methodological proposal was developed in four phases: exploratory, field research, data analysis and final considerations, and can be changed as directed by the advisor. The dissertation will follow the following structure: chapter one and chapter two. In chapter one contextualizations were explained about the evolution of education in Brazil. It was also discussed the permanent education in Brazil and the influence of the National Health Policy for the Process of Permanent Education in Social Assistance, training in question and the directions of Permanent Education in Brazil. In the second chapter we address the Social Work, the Permanent Education Policy in SUAS (Unique System of Social Assistance) and important aspects together with our field research and the results obtained
