Resumo: |
This research presents a teaching strategy of algorithms in a significant learning perspective. The motivation for the development of this research comes from the difficulty of students in the learning of algorithms concepts, which constitutes one of the main factors leading training courses in Computer achieve high rates of school failure or drop out. For the development of research, it was used the methodology of significant learning by Ausubel and techniques of conceptual maps by Novak and Gowin, as structuring tools of the students knowledge in the teaching and learning process of that content. The research addresses the concepts of conceptual maps for that the relationship between existing knowledge and the acquired knowledge be meaningful for the student. It is expected that with this method the student develop and interpret external events and personal experiences, resulting in attitudes, values and performance standards. The survey was conducted with students of Computer Science Course of the Salesian University Centre of São Paulo in Lorena. For verification, it was used a test before and after the application of the contents, with the use of conceptual maps in the experimental group and without the use of maps in the control group. The results showed that the use of conceptual maps has contributed significantly to the study of algorithms, in addition to providing its use in other disciplines to attend computer courses |
