Resumo: |
The present study aims to know the trajectories and strategies of high school students integrated to the Technical Education of Sapopemba ETEC, coming from private school in elementary education I and II, with the purpose of accessing Higher Education. We seek to know if they want to benefit from the affirmative actions of the federal government, such as quotas for public education and / or PROUNI for private higher education institutions. The concept of territory has been used to understand its function for the development of young people in an ETEC that can provide rise. Bourdieu's field concepts and habitus were used here in the analysis of the information provided by the subjects, seeking to understand the reason for entering Higher Education. As research procedures, a questionnaire was used with students that met the specific characteristics and, subsequently, some were selected for semi-structured interviews. The entire research procedure took place during the class period and in the school, itself during the year 2016. The results obtained through the questionnaires and the interviews point in the direction that the choice to attend high school in a public school may be a strategy to enter higher education in free public universities or private universities. The territory was shown as a factor of interference in the choice of Sapopemba ETEC for training in high school, in the case of a public school that is the result of claims of the population of its surroundings and because it is well evaluated and therefore must have important value Symbolic for the population of the territory |
