This research aims to construct a reflection on the cultural reality in the city of Cunha and demonstrate the changes in the same due to the entry of elements linked to the socio-cultural modernity and the process of globalization. However, the survey states that the cultural reality of that council is in the process of transformation and the same process does not mean, necessarily, in statements that say the end of the religious traditions in the city, because they are hybrid, and at the same time that become, preserve its foundations more valuable
