This research seeks to carry out a theoretical dialogue on the national issue around the concepts of hegemony present in authors such as Poulantzas, Gramsci and Trotsky. As well as investigating the conditions of origin of Trotskyism in Brazil with the formation of the Internationalist Communist League (LCI), based on the internal political struggle with the leadership of the Brazilian Communist Party, in the period covering the years from 1927 to 1940. This work also intends to expose the theses of Trotskyists about the formation of Brazilian capitalism, establishing a debate with other aspects of Marxism. With the aim of show the workers' hegemony as a determining strategic factor for the conduct on the fight of national liberation in the course of the revolutionary process in countries with backward capitalism
