Resumo: This study aimed to understand the benefits that the instruments of the systemic point of view is a process of Career Consulting. This was a qualitative research based on systems thinking new paradigm, consisting of three steps: literature review, data collection and content analysis of the reference materials with new systemic paradigm. Data collection was performed individually with a young participant in a Career Program in Logistics in a midsize company. We performed an initial interview, three meetings, in which we used the following instruments: Biography, Timeline, Genoprofissiograma and Cultural Map Networks and a final meeting in which the participant re-visited the result of each instrument worked and described the perception which had in making each of the instruments. The results showed that the instruments used under the gaze of the systemic point of view were crucial in expanding and embracing the participant about his personal and professional history, bringing many benefits reported by participants in the fifth and final meeting. The research also showed that the values, education and broadcast models in the family relationships were important factors in the choice and professional journey of participant. Furthermore, especially in the biography and Cultural Map Network, the role of the social network was significant choice in building his career
