The study of graduates is an essential strategy for the evaluation and planning of educational institutions, as it allows providers to analyze and understand the education they offer. Objectives: to evaluate the impact of the graduates of the Lato Sensu Postgraduate Course in Hematology and Hemotherapy trained in the period from 2008 to 2020. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional, descriptive quantitative-qualitative study was carried out, with 86 (29.55%) graduates of the Lato Sensu Post-Graduation Course in Hematology and Hemotherapy at the Health Education Research Institute of SP. An online semi-structured questionnaire was applied, based on the Work Training Impact Assessment Model) adapted for five analysis variables: characteristics of graduates, characteristics of the course, reactions, impact, and learning. Quantitative data were subjected to descriptive statistical analysis with p<0.005 as a significance criterion, and the open question was content analysis. Results: 54.65% are women, without partners, without children (65.12%), aged between 30 and 40 (53.49%). The most-reported difficulties were with the classification and identification of onco-hematological cells (69.76%), elaboration of the Course Conclusion Essay (51.16%), and reconciling personal and professional life (58.13%). It was found that the content learned applies to subsequent professional practice (89.53%); also, post-graduation helped to improve professional insertion (76.62%) and generated greater security in professional performance (55.84%). The curriculum was considered adequate for both professional performance (98.84%) and course duration (89.53%). As for dissatisfaction, the technical visit was referred to (32%). The infrastructure was assessed satisfactorily. There was a change in the reading habits of articles and scientific publications after the course. These habits increased after the course, however, with low scientific production and participation in events. Regarding academic processes, all items obtained satisfaction greater than 60%. The themes of the open question confirm the quantitative results. The course has been meeting the needs of the graduates and that the items identified as unsatisfactory may be better qualified |
