This collection consists of literary worksdistributed to all public schools, and are aimed at the CYCLE I, of Fundamental Education. These are worksintended to provide support to teachers in their teaching activity. We will analyze literary works directedto geographical knowledge, specifically related to housing and urban mobility. We will also concentrate onthe Curriculum Guidelines, published by the Department of Education of the City of São Paulo, withmethodological guidelines and learning expectations related to CYCLE I, especially Geography. We alsohighlight, the authors who discuss the teaching of geography, especially those who provide comments oneducation in the early years of primary education, with emphasis on the discussion of the concept ofplace.
