This dissertation is situated in the field of higher education and is part of the Research Line Curriculum and Teacher Training, the Graduate Program in Education: Curriculum, the Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC-SP). The research presented here is theoretical and was made by a qualitative approach. Our study object is the pedagogical project of the Faculty of Education - Bachelor of PUC-SP, in effect during the periods 2007 to 2010 and it aims to identify aspects that present themselves as innovators in the light of National Curriculum Guidelines in the area, via CNE / CP No. 1 May 15, 2006. The objective of this research is to reflect whether that project can be considered innovative and designed the model may indicate pathways that may contribute to changes in other courses of the institution. For this discussion, it was used as a tool to analyze the National Curricular Guidelines of the area, literature review and documentation of institutional PUC-SP, as PDI, PPI and former and current PPCs of the Education Course. It then presents the concept of Curriculum and Innovation. For innovation, we emphasize its different meanings and it is announced that concept and perspective adopted in this work. Finally, it presents the proposal of the Education Programme of the Education Course - Bachelor of PUC-SP (2007), emphasizing their curriculum differently. Upon review and consideration, taking as basis the theoretical contributions, it was concluded that the new PPP Education - Bachelor of PUC-SP, which had the 1st class completed in 2010, presents innovative features and can contribute significantly to a differentiated training of its graduates. Could affiliate still indicative of a rupture with the previous curriculum, this time taking things that can even serve as suggestions for other courses of the institution or even to other HEIs in their proposals and innovation processes.
