Resumo: |
The main objective of this dissertation is to analyze the limits of economic evaluation in health through the perspective of Political Economy and its criticisms of the system, based in a scientific review of the production of studies in the field of Collective Health. The first chapter traces the history of the origin of the topic of health and its importance for the economic development of capitalism, as well as the contribution of economic and political evaluation in the health field. The second chapter presents a review of the literature in the field of health, addressing the characteristics and design of economic evaluation and analyzing the selected articles regarding cost-effectiveness, cost-benefit, and its relationship with the Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde – SUS) and its implications as public policy. Chapter three is dedicated to the analysis of convergences and divergences between the studies raised considering the political economy of health, considering themes such as health efficiency, technological assessment in health, cost-effectiveness, and some general aspects of health economics |
