International foundations are increasingly playing an important role in International Cooperation for Development, mainly through project financing in the most diverse countries. In this article, the relevance of these foundations in cooperation will be observed, especially considering their project culture, from financing destined for Brazil. To this end, an analysis of the profile of two North American foundations, which have an important participation in Brazil, the Inter-American Foundation and the Ford Foundation, will be carried out. In this sense, this research is relevant to the extent that it will discuss the involvement of international foundations based on the actions that have been developed, as a result of partnerships with Brazilian institutions
