Resumo: |
The objective of this research was to understand the concept of “spirituality” in the bibliographic productions of the main authors of the areas of Psychology, Health and Education, from 2010 to 2015, trying to identify their research objectives, the definitions assigned to the term, the relationships established with other concepts and, finally, the contributions they offer. In order to achieve this objective, a bibliographic research was carried out on the state of knowledge about scientific journals (related to Anpepp, Abrasco and Nupes) and the thesis portal of Capes, and an integrative review was used as a methodology to carry out such mapping. The results of the research seek to synthesize and order the conjunctures that presented themselves in the researched material and, with regard to the definition of spirituality, it was clear that none of the three areas investigated uses a single homogeneous concept, which confers an impression of intangibility and immateriality to the concept. It was observed that the theme is presented in a beneficial and useful way, always associated with improvement in self-concept, search of autonomy, better health and quality of life, self-realization, search for the encounter with the meaning of life that is found in the experience with the Sacred. The results indicate a need for paradigm revision, due to the epistemic place that spirituality should occupy, as well as a more complex and broad conception of human being, which embraces spirituality as an inherent and constitutive aspect of the active subject in the care of him/herself. The imminence of more studies on the subject and the need to include it in professional training courses are also present, especially because of the possibility of signifying advances and generating new fields of work in the three areas. The authors researched in the area of psychology understand “spirituality” as an object of psychology, since it impacts subjectivity, suggesting a “Psychology of Spirituality”. The articles of the authors of the area of health understand Spirituality as part of practices accepted recently in public health programs and recommended the inclusion of a text on spirituality in the International Code of Diseases – 11th Revision (ICD-11). In Education, the abstracts of selected theses indicated a greater concern in a more humane education, believing that “spirituality” is the foundation of the educational practice, and may help in the task of educating a more cohesive, whole and complete human being and postulate that the teacher would need to experience spirituality in his process of self-education. In conclusion, the texts of the authors of the three areas of knowledge point to experiences that have resulted in an increasing of self-esteem and self-confidence, including reports in the area of education and psychology that have indicated journeys and experiences that enabled the transformation of subjectivity and resignification of self, showing that the concept of spirituality would need to be considered a dimension of the human being and proposing the conception of a subject that transcends the biological, psychological and social dimensions |
