Resumo: This thesis aims to analyze the misstep between the temporality of an urbanization project and the daily life of residents/es from some critical incidents that occurred in the bursts of the urbanization project of the precarious settlement Chafik/Macuco. To conduct the research, we used as theoretical-methodological reference the analysis of discursive practices in the framework of Social Constructionism. Anchored in this theoretical approach, we used as the main tool to make up the corpus of thesis analysis, the conversations in daily life recorded in the field diary in narrative form. We also use as a device of analysis the methodology of critical incidents, defined here as key events that alter the dynamics of everyday life, producing effects and impacts in a given context. The results of the research show that interventions in integrated urbanization projects have a complexity in physical, management and coordination terms. These interventions have specific characteristics, such as the time between the elaboration of the project and the beginning of the intervention works, which is not consistent with the time of the transformations in the settlement; there is a difference between the time of the project and works and the time of life in the territory. Thus, the discontinuities and interruptions of interventions, in addition to interfering in the rhythm of the works, impact the living conditions of the residents and the long periods of stoppage and extension of deadlines produce varied effects in the territory. Based on this analysis, we proposed the use of the concept of burst to analyze the outages that occurred in the project. To this end, we define bursting as an unexpected interruption, temporary and without return forecast, which alters the dynamics of everyday life, producing effects and impacts in a given context. We identified that there is a misstep between the temporality of the urbanization project and the temporality of people's daily life. This demonstrates that, because it has its own temporality, the actions that are taken are directly associated with the progress of the project, with no look at the interests and needs of residents. It also points out that there is no government strategy envisaged to address these distinct temporalities. Thus, it is expected that this study will contribute to evidence this discompast and point out ways that can reduce this gap between urbanization projects and people's daily lives
