Resumo: |
This study looked at how Africa has been represented over the last decade in the high school textbooks of Geography, considering possible changes due to the enactment of Federal Law10.639/03 which promoted the mandatory teaching of African history and culture and African descent. The textbooks analyzed corresponds to two distinct periods, the first one before the Federal Law from 2000 to 2003, and the second one after the enactment of it in the period 2004 to 2010, with the selection criteria the authors who wrote only in the first moment, as the authors who wrote after the promulgation of Federal Law10.639/03 and also the authors who have written textbooks for the two moments of the analysis. The design textbook lists it as privileged support of the proposed curriculum with content-specific language communication in a discursive and iconographic. Analyses of the African continent in the textbooks were based on aspects of content and its discursive and iconographic objectives associated with the discipline to this level of education |
