Resumo: |
The dissertation goal is to point out and analyze Portugal actions for agricultural incentive on Brazil, most specifically the culture of plants that would turn into threads that could substitute linen hemp on late 17th and early 18th Centuries. These actions were based in a new way to understand nature, deeply marked by whole restoration plans that aimed Portugal's economic development. Shall be shown relevant authors which dedicated studies about such plants whose ideas contributed in a new position and manners to observe Nature through a scientific agriculture turned into a new methodology of observation and experimentation, yet these changes had not been enough for complete agricultural technique and culture developments. Still on context will be presented difficulties faced by settlers observed through research on original documents |
