Resumo: |
The dissertation presented here investigates the role of cultural capital and, mainly, the consequences of its lack in the formalized educational process. Its main objective will be to explore the role of culture and its understanding, through the Media, in the child's learning processes. We seek to answer questions such as: how does the individual's development, in the face of a lack of cultural capital, be affected? And what are the advantages of teaching focused on the cultural development of the individual? It is intended to seek an answer through the debate between the bibliographical surveys and investigations of courses and schools brought in the dissertation, which have the focus of the person's cultural development. It is proposed the hypothesis that the student and the student connect with the school content through the relationship they establish with their cultural background, creating symbolic analyzes from their knowledge in their life contexts. To understand this cultural background, the dissertation explores the current role of culture in society and how it is portrayed by the media. The dissertation investigates the connections between culture and the educational process, as well as the importance, nowadays, of the role that technical means have been playing as an almost exclusive channel of cultural support for young people. The dissertation has as basis for discussion and investigation a series of interviews with courses and schools, as well as journalistic articles, academic articles and bibliographic survey focused on the individual's culture and educational process. The authors who must support this investigation are Bourdieu, Freire, Vygotsky, Ausubel and others, who bring valuable analyzes in the subjective communicational process and Gazzaley, Bateson, Logan and others who analyze the impacts of technology and the communication of culture. Thus, the dissertation will aim to create a complete hypothesis about the importance of this cultural capital for the individual and its role in their educational background |
