The present study investigated how the field of Study of Religion conducts the scientific dissemination of the discipline in Brazil. The aim was to analyze how the field understands the issue of scientific dissemination of the discipline and how it returns its production for the welfare of the population. This work explores aspects and benefits of scientific dissemination, the understanding of professionals in the field of Study of Religion about scientific dissemination, and productions identified as contributing to the scientific dissemination of the discipline in Brazil. Bibliographic research, interviews with representatives of the discipline, case studies, and an analysis of documents on the internet were executed. As a central goal, perceptions, gaps, and opportunities in scientific dissemination of the discipline were delineated. In conclusion, it was noted that the field is unaware of the use of scientific dissemination as the reversal of the scientific knowledge for the population, but it acknowledges the potential and the need to invest in such an initiative |
