Resumo: The Historical research in Behavior analysis has the same relevance as basic and applied field. This type of study when focused on the behavior of the researcher himself can identify the variables that lead to why certain decisions have been made in the past and indicate possible ways to expand the development of the science itself that the researcher dedicates. It was the general objective of this research to initiate the identification of some of the variables of the institutional equation of behavior analysis in Brazil, seeking to contribute to the identification of the directions of this science from the men and women who built and developed this science in the country. In this research is proposed as a procedure an alliance between history and genealogy, in wich a historiography was used for a search of our characters and a genealogy was used as a parameter for an analysis. The population surveyed was of doctoral supervisors until 2007 who remained active in the area. 35 researchers were identified, of whom 25 were identified as initiators (four) or participated in a developing academic genealogy; Others ten were found as initiators, in turn, of new genealogies. The analysis of the genealogic tree and characterization metrics show how it began and the development of behavioral analysis in Brazil
