Resumo: The metropolis youth nowadays has showed itself as one of the main unknown members for those who live in the cities. Though enchanting us, or scaring us with actions which we can t find logical answers to, who they are, how they live and what they think are just some of the questions that we make when we see the most different forms that are used when they present themselves in the streets, overall when this passing happens at night, a time of day that is usually linked to the idea of rebelliousness and amoral attitudes. With black clothes, make up in their faces, dark look, the gothic ones that pass through São Paulo city carry, in their speech and aesthetic all the characteristics that were pointed before, being considered, lots of times, as demoniac and phantasmagoric beings. This dissertation worried, because, with the comprehension of the imaginary and aesthetic of these young people from São Paulo, remaking, with them, the trajectory through the nights of the city, as well as frequenting some of their privet spaces, in special the Madame Satã bar. In the matter of ethnographic stories through the gothic spaces in the city of São Paulo, this research, divided in three chapters, had, as its major objective, the will to show that the new gothics of this city, in contrast of what is known from the decade of 1980, the myth of vampire and the gothic movement possess a relation that go both ways and, the line that aligned these two aspects is the aesthetic, that connects itself, as Delleuze and Guattari demonstrate (2005), the mythic living and the nomadism of those who walk through the space, having the search of life s meaning in this perambulation and a living of timing that is different of those that don t comprehend their symbologies. Therefore, it is the eternal human search for a meaning. From the main challenges of observation, it was distinguished: 1) comprehend what are the messages that gothic people want and transmit to the society of São Paulo through their mortuary aesthetic; and, 2) Point and study what are the symbologies and myths that make this aesthetic, at first european, being used as identity construction of a selected group in the city of São Paulo, seeing, in special, the clothes, the places that they often frequent, their musical and arty taste and ways of showing their bodies. Knowing these young people from inside, in their coexisting places in São Paulo city, it studied, as well, the main artworks specially the modern literature, whose major reference is in the American writer Anne Rice since it had the hypotheses that these help to build their aesthetic notions today, for instance, the way they speech, the truth of each young person that frequent the movement, the way they use their bodies to pass messages with no need of verbalizing them, their ways of staring, dancing or even sitting and walking
