Resumo: |
The research in question analyzes Autonomous Medication Management (GAM) as a tool to promote Continuing Health Education (EPS). This research is carried out from a critical and historical perspective on the field of public health in Brazil, focusing on the challenges faced in consolidating the Unified Health System (SUS). The objective is to understand how GAM can contribute to overcoming these challenges and strengthening the SUS. The theoretical- methodological framework of the research is Socio-historical Psychology, which adopts historical and dialectical materialism as a basis for understanding social reality and the subjectivity of subjects. This framework allows for an in-depth analysis of the social, historical and material conditions that influence mental health. The methodology used is research-support, which is based on the ideas of Matrix Support and Institutional Support involving various social actors in the production of knowledge and the transformation of reality. This methodology is justified in the present research as it allows a participatory and collaborative approach. The research was carried out in the territory of Brasilândia, in the north of São Paulo, where a GAM group was developed in a Basic Health Unit. From this UBS, the activities in which the researcher was present unfold. This group articulates with other collectives that have as a common point the use of the GAM tool in care practices and in the permanent production of reflections and research using this instrument. It is this network arrangement that guides the analysis, specifically here we have the collectives: GAM Vila Terezinha; GAMzão and International Observatory of GAM Practices. The research also used as a source of data narratives from workers, as well as undergraduate students who recount their experiences with the GAM network. The care strategies that are articulated within these collectives are understood as a process of permanent health education committed to the real needs of the population who use health and mental health services, since the proposed activities are constantly changing together. with users who participate in the various GAM group |
