This thesis deals with the stigma in employment for disabled and deaf people due to the enactment of the Federal Law No. 8,213 of July 24, 1991, that joined the staff of the Federation of Industries of the State of Paraná (FIEP System) in 2007. One of its main goals would be to show that the social stigmas and discrimination guide and reproduce the relations between colleagues, with their chiefs and other representatives of the corporate hierarchy. In addition to the oral testimony of persons with disabilities that entered into the FIEP System, some written documents were consulted and, as far as possible, some working practices developed by these people were observed "in situ". One of the most important results of this study concerns to the recognition by the people with disabilities and deaf themselves, entrepreneurs, colleagues and managers, the negative aspects related to the physical, sensory or intellectual limitations, skewed vision by focusing on productivity. However, the social stigma of disability and deafness recreate inequalities in the process of integration in employment by businesses |
