Resumo: |
Digital Signage is a term from the advertising environment, used as a reference for the digital surfaces present in urban furniture and in cinemas, subway stations, airports and even in the passenger seat of transport applications, such as 99 Táxi and Uber. At first, the dissertation traces the path taken for this massive amount of visual or audiovisual information to reach us omnipresent through digital surfaces. To do so, we resort to texts by communication theorist Vilém Flusser (1986, 2008, 2017, 2018), and to a lesser extent, Marshall McLuhan (1972) and Sérgio Basbaum (2018a, 2018b). In the second moment, it discusses about audiovisual archives, how they emerged, what skills are required of the archive professional, as well as the digital dilemma with its excess of assets as a result of the popularization of the means of capturing and producing video is approached. In this block, the author Ray Edmondson (2017) is frequently cited due to his work carried out with UNESCO on audiovisual archiving. Finally, the use of the Digital Signage system as a support for the dissemination of institutional audiovisual collection is demonstrated through the case study of Sesc São Paulo |
