Resumo: The issue of menstrual poverty became the subject of discussions not only in the main information vehicles, but also in university forums and feminist collectives, culminating in the promotion of effective actions at the legislative and executive levels in Brazil, with the aim of developing alternatives to face the problem. Understanding the menstrual issue, from a legal point of view, makes it possible to highlight the weaknesses and inequities of the current system, which ends up directly or indirectly perpetuating a cyclical logic of inequalities, which hits the most vulnerable people with greater intensity, including those who are in situations in which two or more vulnerabilities overlap. Furthermore, making use of the capacity for social transformation that the law offers, it is important to study ways of using this instrument to implement alternatives that allow for a real and effective confrontation of the issue, in order to fight for the construction of a more realistic reality. fair, inclusive and egalitarian. In this sense, this study is premised on investigating the menstrual issue and its impacts on the lives of those bodies in situations of social vulnerability. To carry out the research, a theoretical and bibliographic review was used on the documents found on the subject, involving everything from theses, articles, research carried out internally and internationally, and legal diplomas. As a result, it is understood that the recent initiatives, promoted within the Executive and Legislative Powers, are a first step in the development of alternatives that enable a dignified life for all people who menstruate. Likewise, the important transformative impact that the Judiciary can have is highlighted here, acting through decisions that determine the regular and adequate supply of menstrual supplies or that control the elaboration of public policies and institutional practices, in order to boost the promoting the rights of people who menstruate
