This research aims to investigate and understand the trajectory of the directors of the Public School of Minas Gerais, limited to the Regional School of Itajubá, Minas Gerais, in the decades from 1960 to 1980. It is not a collection of past or preset events that fit into a single narrative of professionals. It is a history of public school principals of Minas Gerais that marked his presence of love and dedication that directed establishments, facing obstacles and difficulties, with courage and determination. To conduct the study it was necessary some moments articulated and built simultaneously in different times and spaces. Through interviews, we sought in the richness of each speech, a moment be deciphered and questioned. Each of the respondents brought a string of historic fabric, highlighting some plots silencing others that bothered or marked their walking valuable contribution to the development of the brazilian educational system
