Resumo: |
The purpose of this research was to investigate the affectionate, care and precarious plots that entails the work from the educational agents in Fundação CASA (Socio-educational Center for teenagers) in a male facility during the most critical period of pandemic. In the face of the health crisis this institution has gone through intense transformations regarding its social dynamics, in their working staff and also in the relationship with the youths in detention. Therefore, the field research’s goal was to design a cartography of the biased racial and gender context of the sexual division of labour in the socio-educational system and also, the role that the educational agents play in this institution. Another objective of this research is to understand how did all this voices penetrate, reverberate, converge, resist and/or impact the institutional dynamics at that moment. This thesis is oriented by an intersectional Reading based on the black, feminist epistemology of Patricia Hill Collins to understand the asymmetry in the race, gender, class relationships among the working staff and the interns. The starting point being the comprehension of prison as a total institution by Erving Goffman and necropolitics by Achille Mbembe. Thereby to step into the micropolitics that presente itself in the daily lives of this women when it comes to the category of dangerous care presented by Denise Pimenta and the emotional work by Angelo Soares. As for a conclusion this thesis reflects the positioning of the women that occupy the front line of the educational area in this institution as the top managers of affections and emotions for the maintenance of stability in the interactions among the detained teenagers, and among this teens and the socio-educational agents. Which, during pandemic times, has mirrored a center with higher control of riots, possible rebellions and also higher attention to the compliance of the protocols for prevention of covid-19. As this women undertook dominance of the emotions through legal and institutional mechanisms derived from the power dynamics, they also have experienced the contradictions within their role as officials. At the same time that their actions of building knowledge and affection possibly transgress by being so essential for creating breaks, fragments of life and a perspective of future beyond the walls of incarceration |
