Resumo: This work proposes a “theological restoration” of our Lady of Conceição Aparecida from an ecclesial and mariological perspective and theogical, symbolic, biblical and pastoral rereading of the elements present in the encounter of the image and in itself meaning so that through its iconography we can draw a meaningful message about the mystery of the Body of Christ Church which has the virgin Mary as Mother, Member and Model. To achieve this goal it is necessary to know the historical context and interpret it in the light of the God‟s word, Tradition and heavenly magisterium; reflecting about the symbolic meaning of some elements that make up “Aparecidas‟ iconography” and seek their theological meaning; the research and elaboration of the present work is justified by the celebratory occasions of the tricentennial meeting (2017) and the forty years of the restoration (2018) of the Aparecidense image, a historical event, pastoral and popular interest but theologically not well reflected, especially “the sign theology” found in the waters of the Paraíba do Sul River – SP while there are other hermeneutics much more developed in this regard. In addition to specific studies on the main brazilian marian devotion, the development of Mariological research in our country is still a challenge and it exists a gap in to face; so many manifestations that are beyond the limits of the ecclesialtical institution and that “presided over” by a marian symbol they are a manifestation of genuine nature of the Mystery Chuch. In “Aparecida” there are “pieces of a mystery” as Pope Francis stated when he visited Brazil (2013) also a symbolism full of ecclesial meaning to be discovered and it contains a prophetic message about ecclesial identity so necessary to survive in times of crisis and uncertainty
