Resumo: This study is part of a larger project Development of teachers and multipliers of ESP for the Brazilian technical educational system and aims at researching the learning evidences of the pedagogical proposal of genre (Ramos, 2004a) in the material developed by the centers, of the technical education system, that took part in the project. To reach this objective, the material developed by each center and the self evaluation activities of the course were analyzed to identify learning evidences of the pedagogical proposal of genre (Ramos, 2004a). This study is grounded on the theoretical principles of genre (Bhaktin, 2000; Swales, 1990; Bhatia, 1993; Martin, 1984; Martin e Eggins, 1997; Miller, 1984; Bazerman, 2005 e Meurer, 2002); material development (Tomlinson, 2001; Graves, 2000; Dudley Evans e St John, 1998; Hutchinson e Waters, 1987); some proposals of material development based on the concept of genre, highlighting the pedagogical proposal of Ramos (2004a). Methodologically, this study can be considered a case study based on the theoretical concepts of Yin (1994), Stake (1995, 1988) and Johnson (1992). The results of this research revealed the learning evidences of the concepts related to material development based on genre, according to the pedagogical proposal (Ramos, 2004a), in theoretical and practical terms
