Resumo: The present work seeks to trace the image of the tale of Osiris, present in the mythology of ancient Egypt and some of its later resignifications in contemporary media, especially in anime. Through an “Image Archeology”, the icons are analyzed in storytelling and later, a central axis of thought of their resignification for different platforms is sought. The Egyptian images treated were brought, over the centuries, to the theater, to the cinema, to animation and to a live-action. These are concepts used and theories like the “afterlife” of Aby Warburg's images, cultural memory in Egyptology (Jan Assmann) and Hans Belting's image concept. Norval Baitello Jr.'s concept of “image environment” also helps to understand the strength of such archaic images in the media products so contemporary. These served to guide the work in search of imagery and archaeological understandings about the renovations. We tried to demonstrate a little the process called by Warburg of image migration (Bildwanderung). The recognition of William Shakespeare's imagery creation strategies and the current animation / cinema studios in the world can be understood as a proof of Warburg's main thesis, the “Nachleben” (after-life of images). The work “Iconic archeology in animation - The 'afterlife' of the Osiris tale in literature, cinema and on the web”, was done by Gabriel Cipriano Bezerra, and the research took ocurred between 2018 and 2020, taking into account the global scenario where the Web is a major content carrier, being them current or archaic
