A educação profissional e o ensino de matemática: conjunturas para uma abordagem interdisciplinar

Resumo: The present thesis has as theme the teaching of Mathematics in Technical Professional Education incorporated to High School (TPEHS). The study had as motivation the question: how is Mathematics arranged in the TPEHS curriculums, considering the interdisciplinarity as one of the necessary leading axis to make feasible the curriculum development in this teaching segment? From this, was outlined as general objective the contribution to the comprehension of the role and potencialities of Mathematics in the education of the students from TPEHS, considering the education aspects related to laborality and general education of High School level. For that, the investigation was developed through a qualitative research approach, with analysis of documents. The study presents historical marks in the brazilian professional education that leads us to the quest for the identity of this type of education, as well shows the agreements and disagreements of this laboring education with High School. It still presents descriptive analysis of prescripted curriculums of the TPEHS, as well as curriculums prepared by teachers materialized as pedagogical projects of technical professional courses incorporated to High School of Instituto Federal de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia de São Paulo (IFSP). It´s observed a certain difficulty of making feasible an incorporation of technical professional education with High School. This way, the present study defends the interdisciplinarity as a potentializer of the refered incorporation, having as premise the collective e collaborative organization of the school´s pedagogical work. In the analyzed documents was observed the lack of specific orientation refered to the Mathematics teaching, that is the north of the teachers´ action and that motivated us the outline as the strategy of the teaching of Mathematics, that turns possible an interdisciplinary approach with other areas of knowledge and contextualized with the world of work
